Born in Philadelphia and raised in Edmond, Oklahoma, his love for food was nurtured by a diverse culinary heritage, with family roots in cities like New Orleans, Nashville, and New York. His passion for cooking led him to New York City in 2004, where he pursued formal training at ICE, earning dual diplomas in Culinary Arts and Restaurant & Culinary Management.

Early in his career, Jenkins secured an externship at Butter Restaurant under renowned Chef Alexandra Guarnaschelli. There, he worked his way up to become chef de cuisine, honing his skills and gaining invaluable experience in both the kitchen and in the public eye. Jenkins' culinary prowess also shone through his contributions to cookbooks such as Street Eats and Savor.

In 2020, Jenkins took on the role of executive chef at Lola Taverna in New York's Soho, where he led the restaurant to Michelin Plate recognition. Despite his success in television and high-profile competitions, Jenkins remains passionate about the fast-paced, creative environments in restaurant kitchens. He returned to his roots in 2023, stepping back into the executive chef role at Butter, the very place where his culinary journey began.

He believes in making the most of every opportunity and has consistently emphasized the importance of long-term commitment in ordet to master his craft.
