Biography

Laura Williamson loves wine, and that passion has driven her to become an expert on the subject and to earn one of the toughest wine credentials in the world — the Master Sommelier Diploma, which she received in 2005.

That quest for excellence has also sustained her ability to support executives and guide teams to success, achieving record-breaking goals repeatedly across all of her past positions. 

A member of the Board of the Court of Master Sommeliers, Americas, Ms. Williamson has an impressive resumé, working as a consultant for Small Vineyards Imports and co-owning VinTabla Restaurant and Wine Shop in Tucson, Arizona. In New York city, Ms. Williamson has worked at some of the city's most notable establishments including Jean-Georges Vongerichten's eponymous restaurant and the Mandarin Oriental hotel.

Currently, she is a partner at RingIT, Inc. by PreferabliSM by Wine Ring, an AI software platform based on individual customer preference for the wine and spirits industry. She has also authored a book, “Unlock Your Palate: How to Taste Wine, Impress Your Friends and Become a Wine Pro;" Unlock Your Palate is also the name of her consulting business.
