Kamal Rose

Kamal Rose grew up in the Caribbean and moved to New York City when he was 15-years-old. During his senior year of high school he began working at Tribeca Grill where he worked his way through every station in the kitchen. In 2009, he earned a $20,000 scholarship in a national cooking competition and enrolled in the Culinary Arts program at ICE, while continuing to work at Tribeca Grill. He was promoted to Executive Chef of Tribeca Grill in 2012. Rose has cooked at many noteworthy charitable events supporting the James Beard Foundation, Kristen Ann Carr Fund, City Harvest and Share Our Strength.
